Elephant day @ Sheridan C

So today, the elephant and lion came to our school. The lion was a biatch to draw coz it wouldn't stay the hell still. All I got were pseudo-gestures of what looks like a wolf-bear creature with a gimpy hind leg and no forelegs. Yeahh...I'm not gonna post those...But my elephant sketches turned out alright. I love using grey toned Copic markers to lay down quick tonals. Anyway without further ado, here they are...

Some rough sketches

I call the blue one Blooey! I didn't have a mauve coloured marker or pencil crayon so I used a blue Col-Erase pencil. I like the look though for some reason.

Tonal w/2 kinds of Warm Grey Copic markers. I just noticed the elephant's left foreleg and right backleg is effed up. Meh, I tried...

Just wanted to throw in some caricatures or people in the Erin Mills Town Centre Food Court.

Peace monkeys!

Landscape Painting

Ok so, I've finished our 1st painting assignment of the year... No surprise, I didn't like another one of my paintings although people tell me that it's good. I'm guessing they're either blind or being sarcastic. LOL! It's my first attempt at opaque painting...I usually do watercolour style. I dunno, I just really hope I can improve on my painting ability this year. I still haven't gotten the hang of the medium yet. Bahhh. Anyways here it is.

When I get it back, I'll post my character design for my Weight Lift and Toss animation to come.

Peace monkeys!

ROM trip

K so today my Life Drawing class went to the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) to draw some animal bones that they had in their collection. It was cool coz we were led into a secret backroom where the public isn't allowed to enter. It felt so cool to be let into a secret backroom like that...it was so mysterious...HAHA. Anyways, I ended up drawing the skeleton of an Aardvark. We had to do 2 drawings, one 5 min. gesture and a long 1 hour sustained pose where we get into detailing and rendering if we wanted. My sustained drawing turned out pretty good. I'm really happy with it. Today was an interesting and fun day.

Anyways, here are some drawings to tide you hungry hungy hippos over....(sidenote: Did you know that a Hippo's skin is like an inch thick? I learned that at the ROM today! =) Anyways back to the drawings.....)

1 hour sustained drawing. Blue pencil and 0.5 black marker.

Caricatures are fun!

Bahhhhh I'm starting to get sick!! My throat is sore and i feel woozy alot. I hate getting sick!!!

Peace monkeys!

Another Big Honkin' update!

Wazzzaaaaaaaap!

Anyways, I won't talk long....I'm mainly posting sketches I've done in the past couple of weeks or so.

So school's going alright I guess. It's getting pretty busy these days and I fear I will end up pressed for time on alot of my assignments again. At least that damned essay is over and done with. Bad news is, we have another one to work on. Grrrrr! This week's gonna be alright for the most part. Nothing's due and we have a field trip! Wheee! Bad side is, next week's gonna be hellish with all the projects due which, by the way, I have yet to start. *Sigh*

One more thing....I frikkin spent almost $200 on the Labyrinth book sale today!!! OMFG!!! Not cool....but I couldn't resist! It was well worth it though. I got some books I've been pining for. Sucks coz they'll be at school ALL WEEK so the temptation to buy more is seductively dancing in my face. *Le sigh* I'll try hard not to buy any more but I can't make promises. Those books are tempting and they turn you into a possesed lunatic a la the Ring of Power (Lord of the Rings). *Le le sigh*

Hmmmm I've talked longer than I've expected....Here's what I'm sure you've all been waiting for...NOT!

John Williams, my storyboard teacher

Bus drawings

Batman characters...I like my "Quentin Tarantino" Joker. LOL
Spidey and Hydroman

Brokeback Cowboy...Haha jks. I'm thinking about doing this guy for my Weight Lift and Toss animation...We'll see what Emslie says...

Celebrity caricatures: Kramer, Bruce Willis, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. I really like how Rodman turned out. LOL!

Celebrity caricatures: Top- Posh Spice, George Clooney, Elijah Wood, Harrison Ford. Bottom- Borat (from Ali G. Show), Lucy Liu, and Russel Crowe.

Poison Ivy. I really liked how it turned out so I decided that when I get the time, I'm gonna colour it on Photoshop.

Ok before you guys start shaking your heads and kissing ur teeth at me, lemme explain the reasons behind this drawing. Bare with me coz it is a long tale indeed...

One lunchtime, my friends and I were sitting at our desks just joking around and calling each other gay. SO we decided to prove each other's manhood by having a drawing contest. The guidlines were to draw a girl...err...well... playing with herself... and whoever comes out with the best/funniest drawing wins his manhood back.So we went on a drawing frenzy to see who will win. In the end, we looked at each other's drawings and just had a good laugh. Nobody won. LOL! Wait, then that means we're all still gay........... o.O
