CRAZY for COMICS...

Hi-ho people! Update time....

So recently I've gone on a comic book torrent Downloading spree. A friend of mine messages me on MSN on Monday and goes "Yo, you know you can DL Civil War off of Torrentspy?" I was like "GTF OUTA HERE! REALLY?!?! WOW!" So I immediately got onto that site and searched torrents for Civil War and lo and behold, I found it and downloaded the hell out of it! From then on, I started downloading comic issues and series that I've always wanted to read up on. I've downloaded such series as House of M, Secret Wars, Wolverine: Origins, DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths, Spider-man's Clone Saga, and a lot more. With the amount I've downloaded, that should keep me satisfied for a very long time! I'm one happy camper indeed =)

Anyways, I just wanted to post a few of my on-going and previous art-works on here:

Akuma. I'm still learning how to colour digitally and it's taking long to do especially without instruction so my colouring isn't all that great yet. Also I don't have a tablet so...



















Here's something I'm working on at the moment. It's my friend's character from an online MMO RPG called Ragnarok. For those who are wondering, the character is breakdancing. I'm doing this for my friend coz I owe him $ for beer. LOL! My first (though unofficial) commision work! =P

Owen Wilson's nose looks like a broken penis...

Okay so last night I had the urge to caricature Owen Wilson....don't ask why coz I don't know either...I couldn't find any pics of Owen in 3/4 view (mind you I only spent 5 min. looking) so I had to settle for a frontal view (ugh!). I dislike drawing frontal views coz I tend to flatten the face when I do...I guess it's just one of those things that I still have to learn how to fix. Anyways, here's the pic I drew and the coloured version still in progress...

Okay so I guess I might as well post some of my work....

This painting was an assignment in our 1st year painting class called Master Copy where we had to basically re-create another artist's painting in the same style. I decided to choose a watercolour concept painting I saw from a Lilo and Stitch art book I bought. It didn't turn out too bad in my opinion although I know I could have done a bit more work on it. This turned out to be probably my best painting all year...that's how much I blow in painting...

This one on the right is just a caricature I drew of THE GOBERNATOR, Arnold Swarze....etc. in my sketchbook. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

This one on the left is another drawing of Ahhnuld. The exaggeration of the arm is intentional. =P

Anyways, in other news, I recently bought Civil War #3. Man, it's getting more intense! The battle between the registered heroes and the renegade ones was crazy! And then the ending when *blank* came in....OH MAN! If you're not following the Civil War series, I suggest you should. You won't be disappointed.

I also picked up Origins...you know, the Wolverine back story. It's pretty interesting. I've always wanted to know what his life story is...how he grew up and stuff. I wanna pick up the rest of the other Origin titles and read up on ol' Wolvie. Maybe I'll buy it someday when I have the $$. Hehe.
